The KPA has been working hard to develop a preloved uniform service that works for both the volunteers running it, and the families using it. Uniform sales are a great way for the KPA to have a regular source of income, thanks to the fact our pupils just keep growing. 

However we feel this service is also important for two other main reasons:

1. Financial - new school uniform is expensive, and thanks to the active lives our little ones live, plus their tendency to outgrow items, nothing lasts as long as we'd like. Buying preloved can help reduce costs, whilst still being able to donate to a charity - a win for all. 2. Environmental - the manufacturing of clothes has a massive environmental impact, from the production of the materials, to the making of the clothes and through to how to dispose of them once their lifecycle has ended. We know that there is no one magic way to sell preloved uniform that wil work for everyone. So we are trying to offer as much variety as possible to reach as many families as possible.

• Sales at events

  • Our first experiment will be offering smaller sizes of uniform to new school starters at the Induction Evening and after Stay and Play sessions

• Afterschool sales - we hope to be able to start these from Sept 2025 (or later if the building work is still underway), but will need volunteers to help with setting up, selling and putting away the clothes

• Online sales - some clothes vary so much in appearance (e.g. summer dresses, trainers, school shoes etc) that we wanted to be able to offer some pictures to parents and pupils to help them pick. We are using Uniformerly, a free site, to help us.

• Email requests - we will also have a separate email address just for uniform requests, either just email us a general request, or have a look at our Google Sheet document to see our current inventory (including available brands)

If you are struggling with the cost of school uniform the KPA+ team can put together free bundles of items to try and help. This service may be limited until our stock levels improve, but we will always try and find something to help. Have a look at our uniform stock spreadsheet to see what we currently have.
